This frosting is light and fluffy in texture, but is very rich tasting. I love it because it is so versatile! It goes well with any cake.
2 egg whites
1 1/2 cup sugar
5 Tablespoons Cold water
1/4 teaspoon cream of Tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Place egg whites, sugar, water and cream of tartar in a bowl and beat until thoroughly mixed. Place over double broiler with rapidly boiling water and beat constantly for 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks form. Frost cake as desired. Refrigerate.
